Beauty for Ashes
A Great Replacement Therapy
Isaiah 61:3 3To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” (NKJV)
God is offering life for the ashes of death. This means that I can have everlasting life.
God is offering to give us His joy to replace our mourning.
God is willing to give us an attitude of gratitude to replace the spirit of heaviness or the depression that this earthly life may bring.
Are you down and weary? Maybe even depressed? Ask yourself one question, “if you were to die today, would you go to heaven?”
• If the answer to the question about heaven is NO, then you need to get some replacement therapy. Replace the ashes of death that encompass your life with the good news of eternal life that is available through Jesus. Contact me and I will show you how to accept God’s replacement therapy.
• If the answer to the question about heaven is Yes, then you need to seek God in prayer, asking Him to replace your mourning with His joy. Paul said in Philippians 4 that he had learned to be content in whatever circumstances he found himself in. Our attitude of joy is not dependent on our circumstances but rather on our relationship. Am I in right relationship with God?
• If you don’t know the answer to the question about heaven, contact me today and I will show you what God’s word says about getting to heaven.
To start building that “right relationship with God,” put on an attitude of gratitude (the garment of praise). Praise God no matter your circumstances. Praise God in the morning (even in the mourning), praise God in the noonday, praise God at night. Praise God everywhere and in every circumstance.
• Position yourself correctly. Humbly before God.
• Redirect your attention to the Spiritual Working of God.
• Take steps to let God grow you, and
• Allow God to reveal Himself to you through His Word, prayer and circumstances.
• Accept God’s work in your life.
