Love As The Children Do!
We understand what love is when we realize that Christ gave His life for us.
That means we must give our lives for other believers.
Based on 1 John 3:16
A Small Stream in the Wilderness is often worth all the gold in the world.
Have you ever noticed little children? When one child starts to laugh, others start as well; and when one starts to cry others cry also. Occasionally you will see a child that, rather than echo the cry, will go over to the one crying and try to comfort them. As adults, we think that is a precious sight. But, as adults, shouldn’t that be what we do as well.
Most of the time it doesn’t cost us anything to give of ourselves to comfort another or to meet their needs in some way. 1 John 3:16 has two meanings, the first, you will probably never be asked to give, that is to give your physical life. The second, meaning is one in which you are focusing on another believer, rather than on the things of your own life. Research has shown that people who spend at least some time focusing on helping others are happier than people who do not.
Everyday you have an opportunity to be a Life giving Stream in the Wilderness to someone.
