What if God gave you a gift this Christmas, but you didn’t open the gift box, you just sat and looked at it? Would the gift do you any good? As a matter of fact it would probably just create problems for you. The gift box would occupy space and would require time for you to be able to take care of it.
The truth is that God has given you a gift, the question is, “have you opened the gift box?” The reason we celebrate CHRISTmas is because we are remembering the gift that God has given to us. If we leave Jesus lying in a manger, it’s like leaving the gift lying on the table. You have to accept the gift of God and make it yours. Or in plain English, you have to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Please don’t leave Him lying in a manger. He grew up, lived a sinless death and then voluntarily died on a cross for you and me. He rose from the dead three days later in the greatest event of the universe (and you thought the big bang was significant). Accept the gift!!! It will be the best decision of your Christmas - LIFE!
