2 Corinthians 9:10-11
Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.
Don’t major on the minors and minor on the majors. It’s an old saying, yet we never seem to learn its meaning. Consider the important things in life… FOOD! We would never consider going through life without food; and yet, we will often go for days without consuming the word of God, which is spiritual food. “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” Matthew 4:4. An inaccurate saying, but for mothers a very useful one, is “you are what you eat.” I believe that we want to be to God the very fragrance of life. In order to do that we must consume His word and allow it to flavor our lives. When we do, we will be signs that point to the life giving stream that runs through the wilderness.
