What do you think of people? Do you think of people as basically good or bad? Do they have value? Perhaps you think that people are a necessary evil. The world often places value on people because of the categories they fit into: men over women, adults over children, rich over the poor.

God's view of people is vastly different than that of the world. Jesus told Nicodemus that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

God only uses two categories, those who believe and those who do not. Those who beleive in the name of Jesus Christ as Lord will be saved and those who don't will perish.

Those who believe, we can call family. For those people who do not believe, we can invite them to join the family, because God does not want anyone to perish.

The next time you find yourself categorizing people, just stop and remember that God wants a large family and we are the ones that He uses to grow that family.

Don't categorize people just invite them to join God's family.
